Almost see Your Face
By: Tamar Pedersen
When the world brings me down
And I need a good friend
I know you'll be there
Someone who understands
You know the things that I need
Before I know them myself
And freely you share
Of your infinite wealth
Chorus:
As I'm praying
I can feel you
I can almost see your face
Awesome essence,
Of your presence.
Come out from your hiding place
So near me,
You can hear me
As I plead for your grace.
I can almost see your face.
Verse 2:
One day I'll open my eyes
And you will still be there
The priceless reward
For years of fervent prayer
I'll know you no better then
Than I know you right now
Though our eyes never met,
I'll recognize you somehow.
Chorus: 2X
Almost See Your Face - About
Of all the songs we have written, this one came the easiest, and at the same time, is one of our favorites. Everything just seemed to fall into place. I like to think that God had something to do with that.
Have you ever prayed, and felt that God was so near, that if you opened your eyes, he would be right there before you? This song is an attempt to capture that emotion.
You may not see him, but you know somehow that he is there. If you spend enough time with God, in prayer, you become well acquainted with his love. And when we finally do get to meet face to face, I'm sure he will be strangely familiar. I don't think I'll know him any better then, than I do right now.
